Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation
The Vocational Rehabilitation program administered by RSC draws more than 3 dollars of federal funds for each dollar invested by the state of Ohio. The Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation (BVR) helps citizens with physical, mental and emotional disabilities through programs designed to help them find meaningful work and personal independence.
BVR partners with a statewide network of community rehabilitation providers to assist Ohioans in:
- Acquiring personal habits, attitudes and skills (including social skills) to function effectively on the job
- Developing work habits and understanding of the work world
- Learning ways to adjust for the loss of bodily or sensory function
- Increasing work tolerance
- Job placement, resume development and practice interviews
