The Bureau of Services for the Visually Impaired (BSVI) is devoted to the mission of helping people with low vision and blindness succeed in the work force.  BSVI helps eligible individuals prepare for a career or retain their career, consistent with their skills, interests and abilities.

Eligibility:

Eligibility requirements include:

  • Visual Impairment uncorrectable by Doctor
  • Visual Impairment or Blindness is a substantial impediment to employment
  • The person can benefit from RSC services in the job market
  • Vocational Rehabilitation is necessary for the individual to prepare for, retain or regain employment
